Doing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion differently…
Challenge
As the whole world talks about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), how best should a prominent, international consulting firm communicate that this is a topic it believes in and supports – and not be accused of virtue signalling or doing for just PR purposes?
TPW Solution
We created a compelling series for the company’s many platforms – website, LinkedIn, newsletters and events. The TPW team journalistically interviewed many employees, asking unexpected questions to unearth poignant personal thoughts on DEI that weren’t the obvious and at times, quite confrontational.
Impact
From a first-hand account from a former Grenfell Tower resident, personal experiences living with neurodiversity and raw discussions on being trans in the workplace, the series was fresh and fantastically received – internally and externally. Being so honest and personal was new territory for its internal comms team; a risky strategy. But it portrayed those featured as the type of interesting people you’d want to work with and an organisation you’d want to work for. Up next: a social mobility series.
“We were blown away with TPW’s ability to transfer complex, emotional subjects into compelling, personal stories that were truly authentic and thought-provoking.”
